Regular Season Round 4: Orleans - Chalons-Reims 92-66

Orleans' fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after one consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Chalons-Reims (0-2) 92-66. Orleans forced 19 Chalons-Reims turnovers. Strangely Chalons-Reims outrebounded Orleans 51-31 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Swingman Neftali Difuidi-Walokwa (193-1) scored 25 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Beninese center Jean-Fabrice Dossou (210-0) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Five Orleans players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Jules Le-Roux (198-1) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Alexandre Dogbe (190-1) scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Orleans (1-1) left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with Monaco and Le Portel. Chalons-Reims at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Orleans will play against bottom-ranked Bourg (#18) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Chalons-Reims will play against Le Mans and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
