Granada used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Huesca 89-75 on Saturday night. American-Liberian swingman Thomas Bropleh (196-91, college: Boise St., agency: Duran International) stepped up and scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and American-Finnish forward Alex Murphy (206-93, college: Northeastern) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side forward Ramon Vila (203-97, college: Chattanooga) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Olin Carter-III (190-96, college: San Diego) scored 21 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Granada are looking forward to face Almansa on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Huesca will play against Real Murcia and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
