Very predictable result in Rydzyna where top-ranked Rycerze (4-0) smashed 6th ranked Gimbasket (1-2) 82-54 on Saturday. Rycerze forced 25 Gimbasket turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Gimbasket's players. Worth to mention a great performance of center Szymon Milczynski (204-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Dawid Brek (187-89) who added 11 points and 9 assists during the contest. Rycerze's coach Jedrzej Jankowiak felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side forward Pawel Galczynski (195-98) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) and point guard Maciej Kosciuk (181-94) scored 12 points. Rycerze have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Rycerze maintains first position in Group D with 4-0 record, which they share with Zary. Loser Gimbasket dropped to the seventh place with two games lost. Rycerze will face Miedzychod (#4) on the road in the next round. Gimbasket will play against Pleszew and hope to win that game.
