Regular Season Round 15: Plateros - Dorados 87-101

Rather expected game in Fresnillo where 5th ranked Plateros (5-8) were defeated by third ranked Dorados (9-6) 101-87 on Saturday. Dorados made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. Plateros were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Thomas Allen who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 9 rebounds. Argentinian point guard Juan Brussino (185-91) helped adding 15 points. Five Dorados players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Tyrone White (201-90, college: CSUB) with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Puerto Rican Gilberto Clavell (200-89, college: SHSU) scored 13 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Dorados moved-up to second place. Plateros lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with eight games lost. Dorados will have a break next round. Plateros will play again at home against the league's second-placed Dorados (#2) and hope to win that game.
