Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Caceres: Corazon and Torta del Casar. Corazon won against visiting Torta del Casar 81-74. They outrebounded Torta del Casar 38-24 including 24 on the defensive glass. Torta del Casar was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Serbian power forward Luka Kraljic (206-99, agency: Mansfield and Associates) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and forward Parra Adrian (198-99) accounted for 15 points. Swingman Eduardo Recio (188-1) came up with 23 points and guard Javier Vasallo (187-1) added 12 points and 7 assists respectively for Torta del Casar in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Corazon will play against Penarroya on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Torta del Casar will play against Xerez and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
