Date: October 18, 2020
Top-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk blasted bottom-ranked COR Victoria (0-3) in Brest 80-50 on Sunday evening keeping the perfect record after 4 rounds. COR Victoria is still unable to win any game. The game was mostly controlled by Tsmoki-Minsk. COR Victoria was better in fourth quarter 12-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tsmoki-Minsk dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to COR Victoria's 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a very good performance for the former international forward Ala Murauskaya (187-85) who helped to win the game recording 8 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. American point guard Britney Jones (174-87, college: UAB, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Forward Anastasia Babak (180-2) replied with 9 points and 9 rebounds and Daria Panasyuk (176-96) added 13 points in the effort for COR Victoria. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Tsmoki-Minsk have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion (3-0) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Gorizont. Loser COR Victoria still closes the standings with three games lost. Tsmoki-Minsk will face Olimpia (#3) in Grodno in the next round, which may be the game of the day. COR Victoria will play at home against Gomel (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
