Leader Mineros delivered the thirteenth victory. This time they beat bottom-ranked Correcaminos (0-14) 94-84 in Zacatecas. Mineros players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The winners were led by the former international point guard Orlando Mendez-Valdez (183-86, college: WKU, agency: Pro Sports) who scored that evening 22 points and 4 assists and American forward Mike Bruesewitz (201-90, college: Wisconsin) supported him with 22 points. Mineros' coach Allans Colon allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 20 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists by Dominican forward Juan Guerrero (205-93) did not help to save the game for Correcaminos. Point guard Carlos Suarez (183-92) added 12 points and 10 assists for lost side. Four Mineros and five Correcaminos players scored in double figures. Mineros (13-3) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Correcaminos at the other side still closes the standings with 14 games lost.
