Regular Season Round 4: AZS PWSTE - Rybnik 100-74

There was no surprise in Jaroslaw where bottom-ranked Rybnik (0-4) was outplayed by eleventh ranked AZS PWSTE (1-2) 100-74 on Sunday. AZS PWSTE made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Rybnik turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Cezary Guminski (192-94) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and Artur Mikolajko (196-79) who added 17 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side center Tomasz Czajkowski (203-82) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and forward Krzysztof Zielinski (192-82) scored 21 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. AZS PWSTE left bottom position moving up to tenth place in Group C. It was Rybnik's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. AZS PWSTE will face higher ranked Tarn.Gory (#4) in Tarnowskie Gory in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Rybnik will play at home against UR Krakow (#9) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
