The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Zadar as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Zadar smashed 6th ranked KK Skrljevo at home 99-68. Zadar dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to KK Skrljevo's 44 and made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Zadar forced 26 KK Skrljevo turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Duje Brala (196-3) who scored 22 points and 4 steals (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Ethiopian-American guard Eyassu Worku (188-98, college: UC Irvine) chipped in 20 points. Four Zadar players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zadar have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Cibona. KK Skrljevo at the other side keeps the sixth place with three games lost. They share the position with Zabok. KK Skrljevo will play next round against strong Cibona trying to get back on the winning streak. Zadar will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Borik Puntamika. It will be extra interesting game as Borik Puntamika is their local rival from Zadar.
