Very important is a road loss of second ranked Storm (2-2) against fourth ranked Team Cali (2-1) on Tuesday night. Visiting Storm was defeated by Team Cali in 77-64. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The winners were led by the former international forward Stalin Ortiz (190-81, college: Valpo) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and center Jhon Hernandez (208-84) supported him with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Five Team Cali players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds by American forward Michael Watkins (206-95, college: Penn St.) did not help to save the game for Storm. Dominican forward Juan-Miguel Suero (196-93) added 22 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Storm's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Team Cali moved-up to second place, which they share with Bucaros. Storm at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with Condores. Team Cali will play against bottom-ranked Piratas (#8) in Bogota in the next round where they are favorite. Storm will play on the road against Condores (#4) in Cundinamarca and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
