Regular Season Round 4: AZS UW - Zyrardow 68-87

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked AZS UW's (1-2) home loss to fifth ranked Zyrardow (3-1) 68-87 on Wednesday. Zyrardow forced 19 AZS UW turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Mariusz Lapinski (196-82) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 8 rebounds and guard Sylwester Kus (186-90) who added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side swingman Kacper Moscicki (196-99) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Dariusz Sarnacki (198-93) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Zyrardow have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in Group B. Loser AZS UW dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. Zyrardow will face Isetia (#11) in Warszawa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS UW will play on the road against AZS UMCS in Lublin and hope to win that game.
