Regular Season Round 4: Le Portel - Chalons-Reims 78-76

A very interesting game took place in Le Portel. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 18th ranked Chalons-Reims (1-4) to tenth ranked Le Portel (3-2) 78-76 on Wednesday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Le Portel players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for Canadian forward Mikyle McIntosh (201-94, college: Oregon) who led his team to a victory with 27 points. Boris Dallo (196-94) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Le Portel's coach Eric Girard allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard Jalen Adams (190-95, college: UConn, agency: Wasserman) replied with 28 points and 5 assists and forward Dominique Archie (201-87, college: S.Carolina) added 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Chalons-Reims. Le Portel have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Limoges. Chalons-Reims lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with four games lost. Le Portel's next round opponent will be Entente Orleans 45 (#12) at home and are hoping to win another game. Chalons-Reims will play against Chalon/Saor and hope to win that game.
