Regular Season Round 5: RGUOR - Brest 94-102

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when eighth ranked Brest (2-2) beat 7th ranked RGUOR (1-2) in Minsk 102-94. Brest forced 29 RGUOR turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Konstantin Solyshko (196-96) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Anton Shchurko (188-97) chipped in 26 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Forward Daniil Kosko (189-4) produced a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and point guard Timur Michailov (196-4) added 16 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Brest moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Grodno GrSU. RGUOR at the other side dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. Brest's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Borisfen in Mogilev and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. RGUOR will play on the road against the league's leader Grodno (#1) and hope to win that game.
