Regular Season Round 8: Jiangsu - Hebei 116-70

WCBA top team - Jiangsu Phoenix (8-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Hebei (1-6) in Nanjing 116-70. They outrebounded Hebei 45-23 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Jiangsu Phoenix players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 2 passes made by Hebei's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of power forward Li Sun (185-95) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international guard Weina Jin (180-92) who added 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Jiangsu Phoenix players scored in double figures. Guard Wen Ma (178-99) responded with 39 points (!!!) and forward JinTing Chen (183-94) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Jiangsu Phoenix have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-0 record. Hebei at the other side keeps the fourteenth place with six games lost. Jiangsu Phoenix will play against league's second-placed Inner M. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hebei will play against Dragons (#15) in Daqing and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
