Everything could happen in Penglai at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Golden Bulls and 8th ranked Sports Lottery had identical 3-3 record. But Sports Lottery was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Yiwu 96-84 on Thursday night. Golden Bulls shot 61.9 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Golden Bulls especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The winners were led by center Jiyuan Wan (185-2) who scored that evening 17 points and 9 rebounds and center Jiali Huang (190-95) supported her with 22 points. Even 21 points by forward Wei Cao (182-95) did not help to save the game for Sports Lottery. The former international power forward Hengyu Yang (194-95) added 21 points and 4 assists for the hosts. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Golden Bulls (4-3) moved-up to eighth place. Loser Sports Lottery dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with Henan. Golden Bulls will meet at home higher ranked Blue Whales (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sports Lottery will play against Magic Deer (#3) in Urumqi and hope to secure a win.
