Regular Season Round 17: Correcaminos - Dorados 82-113

Bottom-ranked Correcaminos is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 15th consecutive match to second ranked Dorados (11-6) 113-82. Dorados dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Correcaminos' 40 and made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Guard Raul Delgado (190-91, college: MSU Denver) stepped up and scored 19 points for the winners and Argentinian point guard Juan Brussino (185-91) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. Five Dorados players scored in double figures. Panamanian forward Josimar Ayarza (205-87, college: Southern Miss) responded with 26 points and 7 rebounds and Dominican forward Juan Guerrero (205-93) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dorados have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 11-6 record having just two points less than leader Mineros. Correcaminos at the other side still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Dorados will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Correcaminos will play again at home against the league's second-placed Dorados (#2) and hope to get finally their first victory.
