Regular Season Round 3: Xinjiang FT - Jilin NE T. 97-108

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Flying Tigers (2-1) in Urumqi on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by Jilin Tigers (3-0) 108-97. They made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. Jilin Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists. It was a good game for Biao Zhang (201-90) who led his team to a victory with 29 points and 6 rebounds. Jiang Yuxing (193-95) contributed with 24 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international center Zhou Qi (217-96) answered with a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds and the former international point guard Yu Dehao (195-95) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Flying Tigers. Five Jilin Tigers and four Flying Tigers players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jilin Tigers is looking forward to face Pioneers (#20) in Tianjin in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Flying Tigers will play at home against Monkey Kings (#13) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
