Regular Season Round 2: LoKoKo Bisons - ToPo Juniorit 91-72

ToPo Juniorit recorded a loss in Loimaa on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by LoKoKo Bisons 91-72. ToPo Juniorit trailed 39-37 at halftime, rallying from a 25-11 deficit at the end of first quarter to trim the gap. LoKoKo Bisons looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Jalen Canty (203-95, college: UCSB) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and the other American import guard Matthew Gibson (190-84) supported him with 26 points and 4 assists. Four LoKoKo Bisons players scored in double figures. LoKoKo Bisons' coach Darko Mihajlovic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 20 points by guard Eero Sahlberg (188-90) did not help to save the game for ToPo Juniorit. Guard Pyry Rainamaa (194-90) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. LoKoKo Bisons will meet HNMKY in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ToPo Juniorit will play against Oulun Bball and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
