Regular Season Round 2: Gandia - Ontinent 75-64

Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Ontinent (0-2) lost on the road to top-ranked Gandia (2-0) 75-64 on Saturday. Quite impressive performance for Jose Merencio (195-0) who helped to win the game recording 16 points. Center Oskars Hernandez (211-1) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Gandia players scored in double figures. Point guard Alberto Aleman (178) replied with 24 points and power forward Pablo Iborra (203-97) added 8 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Ontinent. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Gandia keeps a position of Group E-B leader, which they share with Benidorm and UAF Lucentum. Newly promoted Ontinent still closes the standings with two games lost. Gandia will face league's leader Benidorm on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ontinent will play against UAF Lucentum (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
