Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Tbilisi: Tskhum-Abkhazeti and Cactus. Tskhum-Abkhazeti won against visiting Cactus 75-63. The game was mostly controlled by Tskhum-Abkhazeti. Cactus was better in second period 19-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tskhum-Abkhazeti forced 20 Cactus turnovers. International forward Aleksandre Phevadze (206-98) scored 19 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Nika Chechelashvili (195-99) chipped in 20 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Tskhum-Abkhazeti players scored in double figures. Tskhum-Abkhazeti's coach Nikoloz Cherkezishvili allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward AJ Sumbry (203-94, college: Wagner, agency: Players Group) responded with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks and his fellow American import point guard Samajae Haynes-Jones (183, college: Wichita St.) scored 18 points. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
