Regular Season Round 2: L'Alcora - Valencia 2 49-93

There was no surprise when bottom-ranked L'Alcora (0-2) was outleveled at home by top-ranked Valencia-2 (2-0) 93-49 on Saturday. Valencia-2 forced 19 L'Alcora turnovers. It was a very good performance for Icelandic guard Hilmar Henningsson (193-0, agency: Duran International) who helped to win the game recording 26 points. Guard Millan Jimenez (198-2) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Center Alfonso Ribera (202-1) replied with 12 points and 6 rebounds and center David Tirado (208-80) added 14 points in the effort for L'Alcora. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Valencia-2 keeps a position of Group E-A leader, which they share with Paterna. Newly promoted L'Alcora still closes the standings with two games lost. Valencia-2 will face Torrent (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. L'Alcora will play against Castello 2 and hopes to get finally their first victory.
