Regular Season Round 4: Mantova - Alpo 74-82

There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Mantova (2-2) lost at home to seventh ranked Alpo (2-2) 82-74 on Saturday. Alpo forced 24 Mantova turnovers. Mantova was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for point guard Anastasia Conte (174-0, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 25 points. Power forward Veronica DellOlio (185-93) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Alpo players scored in double figures. Guard Giulia Monica (170-87) replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds and guard Ilaria Bernardoni (170-93) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Mantova. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Alpo moved-up to sixth place in A2. Alpo will face league's second-placed Udine at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Mantova will play against Sarcedo (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
