There was a change at the LNBP leadership position after last games. Round 18 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Aaguacateros (13-5). They were edged by sixth ranked Abejas (5-13) 86-83 on Saturday night. 28 personal fouls committed by Aaguacateros helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American Terrell Carter-II (208-95, college: Fresno St., agency: Haylett Sports) had a double-double by scoring 30 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American-Dominican forward Angel Nunez (203-91, college: S.Florida) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Five Abejas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American center Jerome Meyinsse (208-88, college: Virginia) with 21 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import forward Rodney Green (183-88, college: La Salle) scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Aaguacateros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Abejas moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Panteras. Aaguacateros at the other side still keep top position with five games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Mineros who have the same record. Aaguacateros will play next round against strong Libertadores trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Abejas will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Soles in Mexicali.
