Regular Season Round 1: Bars - Barsy 2 79-60

An exciting game was played in Petropavlovsk. Bars faced Barsy 2. Host Bars smashed guests from Atyrau 79-60. Bars dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Barsy 2's 22 and made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Barsy 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 43-31 including 35 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Maksim Nalagov (198-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds. Forward Sergey Dyatlik (194-97) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Yernar Zheksenbayev (187-1) answered with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Sabyrzhan Ibragimov (185-4) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Barsy 2. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bars will play against Karaganda at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Barsy 2 will play against Aktobe 2 to get more than just one victory in their record.
