Regular Season Round 3: Trinity Meteors - WIT Wildcats 43-72

The game between closely ranked teams ended with WIT Wildcats' (2-1) road victory over Trinity Meteors (2-2) 72-43 on Saturday. WIT Wildcats dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Trinity Meteors' 32. WIT Wildcats forced 21 Trinity Meteors turnovers. It was a great evening for American guard Rachel Thompson (178-98, college: Colgate) who led her team to a victory scoring 30 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Jasmine Walker (180-94) helped adding 11 points. The best for the losing side was guard Sinead Keane (181-3) with 15 points and international swingman Dayna Finn (177-0) scored 4 points and 9 rebounds. Trinity Meteors' coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. WIT Wildcats will meet St.Marys (#4) in the next round. Trinity Meteors will play against Maree and hope to secure a win.
