Regular Season Round 4: Carugate - Crema 66-84

Very predictable result when top-ranked Crema (4-0) won against bottom-ranked Carugate (0-4) in Corugate 84-66 on Saturday. They outrebounded Carugate 36-19 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for power forward Alice Nori (183-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Francesca Melchiori (174-93, agency: SLN) contributed with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Crema's coach Giuliano Stibiel used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Sara Canova (180-89, agency: SLN) replied with 20 points and 4 assists and forward Beatrice Olajide (180-98, agency: LBM Management) added 17 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) in the effort for Carugate. Four Carugate players scored in double figures. Crema maintains first position in A2 with 4-0 record. Loser Carugate still closes the standings with four games lost. Crema will face Ponzano (#14) in Veneto in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Carugate will play on the road against Scrivia and hopes to get finally their first victory.
