Regular Season Round 4: Pozega - Mursa 73-84

Bottom-ranked Pozega (0-4) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to fourth ranked Mursa (2-2) 84-73. Mursa forced 21 Pozega turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The winners were led by Petra Simunic (-93) who scored that evening 36 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and Sena Matesic-Pavetic supported her with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Even 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by American guard Lealea Carter (180, college: Vanderbilt) did not help to save the game for Pozega. The former international forward Jelena Ivezic (183-84) added 13 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for lost side. Four Pozega players scored in double figures. Pozega's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mursa moved-up to third place, which they share with Pula. Pozega at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Mursa will play against league's second-placed Zagreb at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pozega will play against FSV Rijeka (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
