Regular Season Round 9: Toyota A. - Denso Iris 68-73

Undefeated Toyota A. (6-1) recorded its first loss in Nagoya. Hosts were defeated by first ranked Denso Iris (6-2) 73-68. They made 24-of-31 charity shots (77.4 percent) during the game. Toyota A. was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international center Maki Takada (183-89) stepped up and scored 25 points for the winners and the former international forward Sanae Motokawa (176-92) chipped in 11 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Yasuma Shiori (161-94) with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and the former international power forward Evelyn Mawuli (180-95) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Denso Iris have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Despite that victory Denso Iris went down to third position due to points difference. Toyota A. at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost.
