No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Akita Happinets (6-3) crushed at home 10th ranked Yokohama BC (2-7) 68-48 on Sunday. It was a good game for American forward Alex Davis (206-92, college: Fresno St.) who led his team to a victory with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks. Bahamas power forward Kadeem Coleby (206-89, college: Wichita St.) contributed with 11 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Coleby is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Akita Happinets players scored in double figures. American power forward Reginald Buckner (206-91, college: Ole Miss) answered with 6 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized American power forward Edward Morris (204-84, college: Pitt St.) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Yokohama BC. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Akita Happinets maintains sixth place with 6-3 record. Yokohama BC lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. Akita Happinets will face Hitachi Sunrockers (#8) in Tokyo in the next round. Yokohama BC will play on the road against Toyama G. and hope to win that game.
