Regular Season Round 2: Tabirako - Goierri 58-43

The game had a very big importance for fourth-ranked Tabirako as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group A-A. Tabirako defeated bottom-ranked Goierri in Durango 58-43. They outrebounded Goierri 50-34 including 18 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Imanol Orue-Mazaga (202-96) who helped to win the game recording 8 points and 15 rebounds and guard Xabier Arroitajauregui (180-98) who added 13 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Tabirako's coach Julen Berrocal allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Josu Matarranz (192-93) responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Luka Lasa (198-94) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Goierri at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
