Regular Season Round 5: AZS UMCS - AZS UW 76-52

No shocking result in a game in Lublin where leader AZS UMCS (3-0) smashed 8th ranked AZS UW (1-3) 76-52 on Sunday. AZS UMCS dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to AZS UW's 22. AZS UMCS forced 26 AZS UW turnovers. The best player for the winners was swingman Karol Obarek (194-93) who scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Krzysztof Wasowicz (183-94) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. Four AZS UMCS players scored in double figures. Swingman Kacper Moscicki (196-99) produced 8 points and 6 rebounds and Hubert Milak (188-98) added 11 points respectively for the guests. AZS UW's coach Konrad Budka gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. AZS UMCS have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Tur Bielsk Pdl. and Notec Inowr. AZS UW lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with three games lost. AZS UMCS will face Isetia (#12) in Warszawa in the next round which should be another easy win for them. AZS UW's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Warszawa Legia 2.
