There was a surprise result in Tarnowskie Gory where tenth ranked AZS PWSTE (2-2) smashed higher ranked Tarn.Gory (2-1) 82-60 on Sunday. AZS PWSTE forced 23 Tarn.Gory turnovers. Tarn.Gory was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was guard Cezary Guminski (192-94) who scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Lukasz Argasinski (190-1) chipped in 20 points. Four AZS PWSTE players scored in double figures. Forward Grzegorz Zadecki (195-84) produced 10 points and 9 rebounds and center Michal Nikiel (205-83) added 9 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Tarn.Gory's coach Radoslaw Kucinski gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. AZS PWSTE moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Tarn.Gory dropped to the fourth position with one game lost. AZS PWSTE will face Gliwice 2 (#11) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Tarn.Gory will play against MKS DG 2 (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
