Regular Season Round 7: Slask 2 - Tychy 76-90

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Slask 2 (5-1) in Wroclaw on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by Tychy (5-0) 90-76. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Slask 2. It was a key game for the top position in the league. It was a great evening for Radoslaw Trubacz (196-94) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Filip Stryjewski (193-99) helped adding 20 points and 4 assists. At the losing side point guard Jakub Musial (185-98) responded with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Szymon Tomczak (201-98) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tychy have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Newly promoted Slask 2 dropped to the second place with one game lost. They share the position with Czarni. Tychy are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Kolobrzeg (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Slask 2 will play against Pelplin (#11) and is hoping to win this game.
