Regular Season Round 6: Tarn.Gory - MKS DG 2 84-56

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated MKS DG 2 (3-1) in Tarnowskie Gory on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by third ranked Tarn.Gory (4-1) 84-56. Tarn.Gory forced 20 MKS DG 2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by MKS DG 2's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Tarn.Gory made 7 blocks. It was a good game for forward Aleksander Maslanka (197-91) who led his team to a victory with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Mateusz Pawlik (187-92) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four Tarn.Gory players scored in double figures. Power forward Przemyslaw Paduch (201-3) replied with 16 points and 8 rebounds and guard Kacper Margiciok (185-3) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for MKS DG 2. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tarn.Gory maintains third position with 4-1 record behind leader Legia 2. MKS DG 2 at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They share the position with Miedzychod and Koszalin Zak. Tarn.Gory are looking forward to face league's second-placed Polonia Bytom at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. MKS DG 2 will play against the league's leader AZS AGH KR in Krakow and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
