Regular Season Round 6: Tartu - Rapla 74-76

Important game to mention about took place in Tartu. Sixth ranked Rapla (4-2) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Tartu (2-2) 76-74 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tartu. Latvian Roberts Freimanis (204-91, college: Liepaja) notched 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Slovakian point guard Mario Ihring (192-98, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 15 points and 9 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Four Rapla players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 31 points and 12 rebounds by American Will Rayman (203-97, college: Colgate) did not help to save the game for Tartu. Hendrik Eelmae (200-0) added 13 points and 4 assists. Rapla have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Tartu at the other side dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. Rapla will play against Kalev/Cramo (#5) in Tallinn in the next round. Tartu will play at home against TalTech and hopes to get back on the winning track.
