An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Minsk. Top-ranked Gorizont faced 3rd ranked Olimpia. Host Gorizont (6-0) smashed guests from Grodno (3-2) 81-59. The game without a history. Gorizont led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Olimpia's 32. They outrebounded Olimpia 43-22 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Gorizont players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Olimpia's players. The former international center Anastasiya Veremeenko (194-87) notched 22 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international forward Yanina Inkina (188-97, college: UALR) supported her with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 16 points by point guard Yuliya Vasilevich (165-1) did not help to save the game for Olimpia. Forward Veronika Samoiluk (184-1) added 8 points and 4 assists. Olimpia's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Gorizont have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record, which they share with Tsmoki-Minsk. Olimpia at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. Gorizont's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Minsk to the arena Tsmoki-Minsk.
