Bottom-ranked Carugate (0-5) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to tenth ranked Scrivia (3-2) 69-40 on Saturday evening. Scrivia made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Scrivia outrebounded Carugate 49-27 including a 39-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Croatian center Emilija Podrug (190-79) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and forward Francesca DAngelo (180-1) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Scrivia moved-up to fifth place in A2. Loser Carugate still closes the standings with five games lost. Scrivia will face league's leader Crema at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Carugate will play against Alpo (#9) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
