Regular Season Round 5: IK Eos - Norrkoping 73-69

An interesting game for IK Eos (4-1) which hosted in Lund 3rd placed Norrkoping Dolphins (3-2). Second ranked IK Eos managed to get a 4-point victory 73-69. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Norrkoping Dolphins. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Norrkoping Dolphins were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. IK Eos made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Norrkoping Dolphins turnovers. American guard Alexa Middleton (175-95, college: Iowa St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Croatian-Italian center Dubravka Dacic (201-85) contributed with 8 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. IK Eos' coach Jan Hricko used entire bench in such tough game. American swingman Camille Zimmerman (184-95, college: Columbia) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import guard Chanelle Molina (175, college: WSU) added 14 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Norrkoping Dolphins. Four Norrkoping Dolphins players scored in double figures. IK Eos have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 4-1 record behind leader Alvik Basket. Norrkoping Dolphins at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with Uppsala. IK Eos are looking forward to face league's leader Alvik Basket in Stockholm in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Norrkoping Dolphins will play at home against Mark and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
