Regular Season Round 4: Alcobendas - Zornotza 74-89

Very predictable result when fourth ranked Zornotza (3-1) defeated on the road 9th ranked Alcobendas (1-3) 89-74. Zornotza dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Alcobendas' 34. They outrebounded Alcobendas 39-21 including 26 on the defensive glass. Quite impressive performance for American guard Bryson Robinson (193-98, college: New Orleans) who helped to win the game recording 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Naturalized Ukrainian center Volodymyr Orlov (208-95) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Four Zornotza players scored in double figures. Forward Jorge Parra (192-98) replied with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Croatian center Filip Krajina (209-95) added 10 points in the effort for Alcobendas. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Zornotza moved-up to second place in Silver. Newly promoted Alcobendas keeps the ninth position with three games lost. Zornotza's next round opponent will be Algeciras (#10) at home and are hoping to win another game. Alcobendas will play against Clavijo in Logrono and hope to win that game.
