No shocking result in a game in Logrono where leader Valencia (9-0) smashed 12th ranked Promete (2-6) 71-51 on Saturday. Valencia forced 21 Promete turnovers. International point guard Cristina Ouvina (173-90) stepped up and scored 9 points and 7 assists for the winners and Australian guard Rebecca Allen (188-92, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 13 points and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was Senegalese center Maimouna Diarra (198-91) with 4 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Laia Flores (171-96, college: S.Florida) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Valencia. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Avenida. Promete lost their third game in a row. They keep the twelfth place with six games lost. Valencia will meet at home Al-Qazeres (#14) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Promete will play against Socinsa Bembibre and hope to secure a win.
