Regular Season Round 6: UR Krakow - Tarn.Gory 73-79

Rather predictable result when third ranked Tarn.Gory (4-1) won against on the road 7th ranked UR Krakow (2-2) 79-73 on Saturday. Tarn.Gory forced 21 UR Krakow turnovers and outrebounded them 35-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for guard Bartlomiej Wroblewski (181-92) who led his team to a victory with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Michal Nikiel (205-83) contributed with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Center Dawid Szulc (201-99) replied with 23 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and point guard Karol Siwak (180-93) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for UR Krakow. UR Krakow's coach Marek Paulisch rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Tarn.Gory maintains third position with 4-1 record behind leader Legia 2. Loser UR Krakow dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. Tarn.Gory will face league's second-placed Polonia Bytom at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. UR Krakow will play against Gliwice 2 and hope to win that game.
