Very important is a road loss of Pyrinto (2-1) against HNMKY (2-0) on Saturday night. Visiting Pyrinto was crushed by HNMKY in Helsinki 99-73. The game without a history. HNMKY led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Pyrinto's 38. It was a great evening for guard Nikolas Kataja (192-2) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Henri Mennander (204-3) helped adding 17 points and 10 rebounds. Four HNMKY players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Brunel Madzou (183-5) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and forward Arttu Pitkanen (193-3) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Pyrinto's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. HNMKY will meet OBA (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Pyrinto will play against Kataja (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
