A very close game took place in Maturin between Cangrejeros and Condores. Cangrejeros got a very close home victory over Condores. Cangrejeros managed to escape with a 3-point win 74-71 on Saturday evening. Cangrejeros forced 21 Condores turnovers. Point guard Eduardo Rios (182-88) nailed 13 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and Edixon Figueroa (187-94) accounted for 18 points and 7 steals. Swingman Melvin Zambrano (193-95) came up with 18 points and 8 rebounds and guard Kervin Perez (191-97) added 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Condores in the defeat. Four Condores players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Cangrejeros will meet Bucaneros in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Condores will play against Gladiadores and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
