Regular Season Round 3: HNMKY - LoKoKo Bisons 68-77

There was no surprise in Helsinki where HNMKY (0-3) was defeated by LoKoKo Bisons (3-0) 77-68 on Sunday. HNMKY trailed by 11 points at halftime and as many as 15 after three quarters before a 21-15 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 68-77 at the end of the game. LoKoKo Bisons looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Jalen Canty (203-95, college: UCSB) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Matthew Gibson (190-84) helped adding 17 points and 8 rebounds. Four LoKoKo Bisons players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Cameroonian forward Arsene Towa (191-81) with 8 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Atte Vuoristo (192-1) scored 16 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. LoKoKo Bisons will face HBA-Marsky (#4) in Helsinki in the next round.
