Regular Season Round 5: Mark - Visby 90-105

Visby Ladies' fans can celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Kinna, where they defeated Mark (0-5) 105-90. The game was mostly controlled by Visby Ladies. Mark was better in second period 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Visby Ladies players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Mark's players. American Jessica Kelliher (183-97, college: Lewis) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 45 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds for the winners and her fellow American import guard Jayde Christopher (173-97, college: Boise St.) chipped in 17 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists. American guard Shayla Bennett (175-97, college: UNC) responded with 35 points (!!!) and 4 assists and guard Stina Almqvist (181-2) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Mark players scored in double figures. Mark's coach Antonio d'Albero rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Visby Ladies (1-4) left bottom position moving up to tenth place. It was Mark's fifth loss in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. Visby Ladies will play against higher ranked Wetterbygden (#9) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mark will play against Norrkoping Dolphins and hopes to get finally their first victory.
