Regular Season Round 10: Toyota B SR - Denso Iris 61-64

The most exciting game of round 10 in the WJBL took place in Aichi. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th ranked Toyota B SR (4-6) to third ranked Denso Iris (8-2) 64-61 on Sunday evening. Denso Iris made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. The former international center Maki Takada (183-89) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Sanae Motokawa (176-92) chipped in 11 points during the contest. Denso Iris' coach Marina Maljkovic used entire bench in such tough game. At the losing side the former international Yuki Kato (179-97) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and forward Saki Iijima (172-92) scored 21 points. Denso Iris have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Toyota B SR at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Chanson V-M. Denso Iris are looking forward to face Mitsubishi K. (#3) in Nagoya in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Toyota B SR will play on the road against the league's leader Toyota A. in Nagoya and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
