Regular Season Round 3: Korikouvot - Kristika Turku 75-88

Everything went according to plan in Kouvola where Kristika Turku (3-0) beat Korikouvot (1-2) 88-75 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Kristika Turku. Korikouvot was better in second period 27-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Korikouvot 46-34 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for power forward Mikael Aalto (205-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Johan Kotavuo (187-96) helped adding 8 points and 9 assists. Kristika Turku's coach Juha Ruohonen allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was forward Joel Mantynen (199-2) with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Teemu Kristeri (195-2) scored 14 points and 4 assists. Kristika Turku will face Pyrinto Ak.A (#5) in Tampere in the next round. Korikouvot will play on the road against Tapiolan Honka and hope to win that game.
