Serie A top team - Armani Milano (6-0) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat eighth ranked Trento (2-4) 82-75. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Trento. Strangely Trento outrebounded Armani Milano 39-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. Danish forward Shavon Shields (201-94, college: Nebraska) notched 24 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Spanish guard Sergio Rodriguez (191-86) supported him with 10 points and 12 assists. Armani Milano's coach Ettore Messina used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 15 points and 15 rebounds by American center JaCorey Williams (203-94, college: MTSU) did not help to save the game for Trento. American-Puerto Rican guard Gary Browne (185-93, college: WVU) added 18 points and 8 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Armani Milano have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Trento at the other side dropped to the tenth place with four games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Armani Milano will meet at home Brescia (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Trento will play against Sassari (#4) and hope to secure a win.
