Regular Season Round 6: Gorizont - COR Victoria 90-45

Undefeated leader Gorizont delivered the sixth consecutive victory on Sunday night. This time they crushed 6th ranked COR Victoria (1-4) 90-45 in Minsk. The game without a history. Gorizont led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They held COR Victoria to an opponent 23.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 57.6 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded COR Victoria 49-24 including a 35-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Gorizont looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by COR Victoria's players. The best player for the winners was center Palina Katlinskaya (185-3) who scored 19 points. The former international forward Yanina Inkina (188-97, college: UALR) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four Gorizont players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Daria Panasyuk (176-96) who recorded 13 points and forward Anastasia Babak (180-2) added 4 points and 5 assists respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Gorizont (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 6 victories in a row, which they share with Tsmoki-Minsk. Loser COR Victoria keeps the sixth place with four games lost. Gorizont's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Minsk to the arena Tsmoki-Minsk.
