The game between closely ranked teams ended with eleventh ranked Anwil's (4-7) home victory over 12th ranked Enea Astoria (5-7) 90-71 on Wednesday. Anwil looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Rotnei Clarke (183-89, college: Butler) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 assists and Croatian power forward Ivica Radic (208-90) who added 14 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Anwil's coach Marcin Wozniak used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American guard Corey Sanders (188-97, college: Rutgers) with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Jakub Niziol (200-96, college: Cal Poly) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Five Anwil and four Enea Astoria players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Anwil went down to thirteenth position due to points difference. Loser Enea Astoria dropped to the tenth place with seven games lost. Anwil will face HydroTruck Radom (#14) at home in the next round.
